That allows you to give people access to exactly those calendars and subsequently dates that are important for them and not have everyone in the church see every entry in the calendar.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Church Calendars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The church calendars should be used for dates that are important to the whole church. You can set up different church calendars for different types of church wide events such as Sunday services, youth events, prayer evenings etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#22c55e;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#dcfce7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Tip<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">When setting up dates in church or group calendars you can directly add corresponding <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.churchtools.academy\/en\/help\/churchtools-modules\/adding-appointments\/13-how-to-create-an-appointment-with-an-event\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"9392\">events<\/a><\/strong><\/em> or <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.churchtools.academy\/en\/help\/churchtools-modules\/adding-appointments\/13-how-to-create-an-appointment-with-an-added-registration-group\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"9391\">registration groups<\/a><\/strong><\/em> and book <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/staging.churchtools.academy\/en\/help\/churchtools-modules\/adding-appointments\/13-how-to-create-an-appointment-and-book-a-resource\/\" data-type=\"docs\" data-id=\"9390\">resources<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group Calendars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The group calendars are ideal to organise teams or small groups. Each group calendar is only visible to the members of the group which has been chosen when setting up the new group calendar. Additionally to the functions of a church calandar you can add meeting requests to plan and invite people for your upcoming meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When adding a meeting request every person you invited will automatically receive an email informing them about the new request and asking them confirm or decline the invite. This allows you to figure out beforehand if the set time works for everybody or if you might have to change the date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-80af7bfe1f2cac9aad48f56ff78dd877 is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#e7c000;border-left-width:0.5rem;color:#3f3400;background-color:#ffe5644d;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Warning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><em><strong>Events<\/strong><\/em> are always linked to an entry in a calendar so you need at least one church or group calendar to be able to create events.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personal Calendars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your personal calendars by default display <strong>your rota assignments, absences, upcoming birthdays and absences of members in your groups<\/strong>. Those four calendars are only visible to you and can&#8217;t be shared with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-group ct-box ct-box-blue has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-002f1c27 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"border-radius:8px;border-left-color:#3e70ce;border-left-width:0.5rem;background-color:#f3f5f7;margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n<p style=\"margin-top:0.5rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0rem;margin-left:0.5rem\"><strong>Note<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0rem;margin-right:0.5rem;margin-bottom:0.5rem;margin-left:0.5rem\">The birthday calendar gives you since v3.102 the option to chose whether every upcoming birthday (of people visible for you) or only the ones of members in your groups should be displayed.<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also create additional personal calendars which, like church and group calendars, can be shared with others and administered in the permissions management.
