# How to fill the “Links” widget and authorize users for it?

ChurchTools offers you the option of providing your ChurchTools users with links to various content in the "Links" widget on the *start page*.

To do this, store internal or external links that you want to display in the widget in the *system settings* and authorize them individually via the rights management. You can find out how to do this in this tutorial.

## 1. Store links

In the *System settings* (1) under *General* (2), call up the *Start page* (3).

Under *widget "Links"* (4) click on *+ Add link* (5) and enter a *title* (up to 50 characters), *subtitle* (up to 100 characters) and the desired *link* in the dialog box.

If you have stored more than one link, you can adjust the order using *Sort* (6).

## 2. Links permissions

In the *[rights management](https://staging.churchtools.academy/en/help/permissions-management/basics-understanding-permissions/21-where-to-find-the-permission-management/)* (1) under *Administration* (2) you will find the global Permission to *view entries in the links widget (view links)* (3).

Use the *checkboxes* (4) to authorize *person status*, *group types*, *groups* and *users* for individual or all links. You can find detailed instructions on [How to assign global permissions?](https://staging.churchtools.academy/en/help/permissions-management/assigning-permissions/how-to-give-global-permissions/)
