# How to edit the legal notice?

In many cases, usually as soon as your ChurchTools is at least partially publicly accessible, your church needs an imprint.

You can link to an existing legal notice in ChurchTools, e.g. from your congregation's website (external legal notice) or use the legal notice stored in ChurchTools and adapt it for your congregation.

## 1. Call up Data security / Data privacy

To edit the legal notice, go to *Data security / Data privacy* (3) in the *System settings* (2) and select *Legal notice* (4).

## 2. Edit imprint

Here you click on *Edit (imprint)*.

The legal notice stored in ChurchTools opens in a new browser tab.
To edit it, click on the *context menu* (1) and select *Edit page* (2).

Click on the *Save button* in the top right-hand corner to save your changes.

> ## 3. Check presentation

After you have saved your changes, you can display the legal notice.
You will then see it as it is displayed to the users of your ChurchTool.
