# Wiki overview

The wiki is a digital document repository that allows you to share information with your entire community, individual areas or Groups so that everyone is always up to date and has the information they need. All information and documents are of course stored in encrypted form in your database.

**Note**

Your licence includes 5 GB of storage space. You can optionally increase this by 15 GB for a monthly fee of €10. Simply contact our support team to do so.

## Overview of the module

In the wiki, you will always find the option on the left-hand side to click on *[Page +](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/seiten-anlegen-bearbeiten/0-wiki-seite/)* to create new pages and use the *[search](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/weiteres-wiki/0-wiki-suche/)*.

Use the buttons at the top right to display a *[list of all pages](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/weiteres-wiki/0-wiki-alle-seiten/)* display, *[edit](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/seiten-anlegen-bearbeiten/0-wiki-seiten-bearbeiten/)* the current page and use the *[context menu](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/weiteres-wiki/0-wiki-2/)* to find further options.

**Note**

If you're still not sure what the difference between categories and pages is, think of a cupboard and read on.

## Categories and pages

Your wiki consists of categories and pages. You can think of the categories as cabinets and the pages as drawers that fill the cabinet.

This is how you can build it up:

1. First you add a *[category](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/seiten-anlegen-bearbeiten/0-wiki-kategorie-hinzufugen/)* to your wiki, i.e. the cabinet.
2. Then you create *[pages](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/seiten-anlegen-bearbeiten/0-wiki-seite/)*drawers with which you fill the cabinet and in which you provide the information for your employees, managers, Groups, areas, etc.

**Note**

Page titles and categories cannot be changed at a later date.

After you have created a new page, you will first find this page under *[All pages](https://staging.churchtools.academy/de/help/churchtools-modules/weiteres-wiki/0-wiki-alle-seiten/)* or on the page on which you created it as a link.

To make the page visible on other pages, insert it as a link where you want it to appear.

**Warning**

Please write the page title here exactly as it appears, otherwise the link won't work.
