# Can I synchronize accounting data even though I do not use ChurchTools Finance?

If your church does not use the Finance module, you can still import accounting data from Optigem or another ChurchTools installation, use it to display budgets and also print donation receipts. To do this, you can use the Finance module in read-only mode free of charge.

**Note**

In order to further edit the data and create new transactions, your church needs a subscription to our finance module. You can add this module to your existing licence at any time via the licence tab of your installation.
