# How to customize the public group page of my subgroup?

People in your congregation and those who are still outside should be able to find your group to consider whether they would like to join. To do this, you can customize a public page for your subgroup in ChurchTools. You can then embed this directly on your own **congregation website** so that visitors to your website can find it and contact you as the ladder. Of course, you can also simply share it by passing on the link, e.g. in the **newsletter**. Here you can find out how to customize the public page for your Group.

**Note**

Another way to make your subgroup publicly visible would be to use a superordinate *group homepage*, which can also be embedded on your congregation website or whose link can be shared. On this group homepage, all subgroups that are subordinate to the same parent group are displayed together and can even be filtered. This creates an overview. The leader of the parent group can customize the display of the group homepage via the settings of their group. We explain how to do this on our help page [How to customize the group homepage of my parent group?](https://staging.churchtools.academy/en/help/churchtools-modules/einstellungen-gruppen/how-to-customize-the-group-homepage-of-my-parent-group/)

**Tip**

Currently, you can only display the leaders of a subgroup via a group homepage. If you also want to display them on a separately published group page, proceed as follows:
- Open the subgroup in the group homepage.
- Copy the URL of the group from the browser bar and not the link generated by ChurchTools.
- Paste this URL as a link or QR code on your website.

## 1. Call up group

In the module ***Groups***, find your subgroup and call it up.

## 2. Open settings for the public group page

In the menu on the left-hand side, click on *General* (2) under *Settings* (1).
There you will find the item *Public group page* in the Public image section.

Click on the *entry* (3) or the *settings wheel* (4) to open the area for configuring the public group page.

## 3. Current view

The current view of the public page of your subgroup is displayed in the window that opens. You can view and try it out for desktop, tablet and mobile.

## 4. Customize public group page

On the right-hand side you will find the option to customize the *view* (1) of your public group page. Here you can use the buttons *Contact leader* and *Log in to ChurchTools* or show or hide the *street* of your meeting place.

With the *embed code* (2) or *share* *code* (3) you can embed your public group page or share it directly via a link or QR code.
