# How to create resource types?

To better organize your resources, you can create *resource types* to which you assign the individual resources. This allows you to quickly and easily differentiate between rooms, equipment or vehicles, for example. You can find out how to create new *resource types* here.

## 1. Open Master data

To create a new *resource type*, you must open the *Master data* (2) in the *Resources* module (1).

## 2. Create Resource type

Here you open the *Resource type* entry (1) and click on the *plus* (2) at the end of the list.

You then *title* (1) your new resource type, name in plural (2), specify *where* it should be displayed in the list (3) and assign it to a *campus* (5) if required.

Click on *Save* (4) to create your new resource type.
