# How to create/edit a group meeting?

Groups thrive on seeing each other regularly and leaders keeping track of their group members. With ChurchTools, you can easily plan meetings for your group and record afterwards who was there and how the meeting went. In this article, we explain how you can create and edit group meetings.

**Note**

Group meetings are not automatically created in the calendar as an appointment with a meeting request. If you want to create a calendar entry for your group meeting, switch to the Calendar module and [create an appointment](https://staging.churchtools.academy/en/help/churchtools-modules/adding-appointments/13-how-to-create-an-appointment/) for your group.

## Create group meetings

To create a group meeting, navigate to the *Groups module* (1) and open the *group* (2) for which you want to create a meeting.

The menu item *Meetings* (3) on the left-hand side of the group overview takes you to an overview of all meetings already created for this group and the attendance of all group members.

You can easily add another meeting to your group using the *+ Create Meetings* (4) button.

**Tip**

You can also have new group meetings created automatically when you meet regularly. We explain how to do this [here](https://staging.churchtools.academy/en/help/churchtools-modules/group-meetings/how-do-i-configure-settings-for-my-groups-meetings/#2-toc-title).

## Edit group meetings

You can filter the list of all group meetings by *upcoming* (1), *past but not yet completed* (2) and *past and completed* (3) meetings.

## Add more information about meetings

If you click directly on a specific meeting, all group members are displayed under *Presence* (1), for which you can also *enter* the *attendance* or *absence* for the meeting here (2). The filter (3) gives you a quick overview of attendance for large Groups.

**Tip**

If you create a meeting directly via the Check-in module, you will automatically find the list of people checked in here in your group and can of course continue to edit the meeting here.

Under *Feedback* (4) you have the opportunity to leave a comment on the meeting, record any guests and record your thoughts on the meeting itself. You can also enter or add this information when you *close* the meeting (5).

You can *unlock* or *delete* the meeting using the *three-dot menu* next to the time.

Below the list of group members, you will find another list showing which group members were not yet in the group (6) or had already passed away (7) at the time of the selected meeting.
